The night shop

When the street is dark and the window blacks out, when we see our reflection against a disappearing street view, our shop closes its curtains. Behind the folded billiard green screen the room and all that it contains invokes new sensations. Not entirely sure which side of the curtain is the main stage, it still separates inside, a dimmed white cube, from outside, a dark toned cityscape with a high sky and the accidental light spot from a streetlamp, a shop sign, a passing vehicle, the neighbours’ windows, which are also covered on their inside by a variety of decorative fabrics or shades.
